When addressing parenting issues, it is my goal to empower you with the knowledge and skills to be a more effective parent. This includes helping you to better understand your child’s behavior, to better understand your behavior and to develop the best approach to parenting. Therapy can provide support to parents who are overwhelmed and can provide a safe place to explore the challenges of being a parent.

The goals of addressing parenting issues are to increase positive behavior, improve the parent-child relationship and to create a positive family environment. Research indicates that a child’s behavior can be changed by changing the home environment. You are taught specific skills based on the needs of your family and you are taught when and how to use these skills. After simple behaviors have been mastered, more complex behaviors are addressed.
